Can’t turn down the chance to capture something, even if it is a full moon! Clear nights are so few and far between! It’s never gonna be your best work but it still makes me happy and that’s all that matters!
100% moon…… I’m still gonna 100% shoot something! Uk clear nights are like rocking horse 💩

Thank you. I had another go with an SHO combining script in photoshop which seems to have allowed me to pull cleaner Oiii data. It’s defo more vibrant but I kinda like the original as it got a dark feel to it.

It’s an ASI183mm pro and zwo narrowband filters. I’m saving up for some Baader 4nm filters but might take a while. Gonna need to buy one at a time as they’re £200 each. I’ve managed to shoot a few targets in the full moon now. Strong Ha targets like this are fine if shooting mono. Obviously you’d be better off with no moon but I’ve learned not to let it put me off. Especially when I get so few clear nights anyway! Even when it’s clear here I telf to get my own personal cloud

I have heard awesome things about the ASI183mm Pro. I am using the 2600mc Pro, I wonder if using a dual band filter like the L-Enhance would be able to separate any nebulosity like this.

Ha ha, yeah. After 2 months with no chance to capture DSO here, I totally hear you! I was able to get a couple of nights in a row on the last new moon, so I am not feeling as desperate now, but I was getting very desperate there too!Thank you

I used the SHO combine tool in Annie’s Astro Actions. I stretched the data myself first and it came out pretty well. Usually I use the combine tool in APP and let APP stretch it for me.
The ASI183MM is a great little camera but I think the ASI2600 is far superior. I think with some of the new duo and trio band filters you could get some seriously great images! The bonus of my little mono camera is you can get good data fast. I had the OSC version at one point and I can tell you 6 hours of mono (2xHa, 2x Oiii and 2x Sii) was far superior to 6 hours of OSC.
One day I’d love to own the ASI2600mm but that’s more of a dream than a reality sadly
Yeah, mm is totally superior to OSC. I ended up choosing to go the OSC route mainly because of how stretched I am with time. I figured going an OSC route would be a huge upgrade from just using a DSLR that I was using, but not cause me to have to spend extra time that I just don't have. I spend a lot of time doing my Milky Way timelapses, along with shooting Infrared and normal Landscapes. So while the OSC isn't as good as MM, I figured it was enough of a step up from a DSLR that it would be a great improvement to my image quality. And.... I can still upgrade to a MM camera at some point in the future, but for now it seemed to work for me.
I haven't downloaded Annie's Astro Actions yet, I need to look into them further, I know lot's of people use them.

I think the ASI2600mc is supposed to be an amazing camera though! Some of the pics I see from people with that camera blow mine out of the water despite it being OSC. It’s just far superior in every aspect but for £2k you’d expect it to be. Maybe look into a narrowband OSC filter. I wouldn’t know how to separate the channels though but I’m sure it’s fairly simple. YouTube would be your fried there!
Yeah, I have seen a few articles on how to simulate a MM Narrowband image with an OSC image. So yeah, people are doing that. I am not ready for that yet, but that's a great possibility to have available in the future.

Great image, especially the version 2 rework which has indeed made that OIII pop out and given us a cleaner result in general. Love it!
