4th of July Practice

Nice processing and what looks like some optimal values for shutter speeds as well.

I sent my drone up to catch some of the neighborhood fireworks last year but was a bit concerned it could get blown out of the sky by some of the mortar rounds.

I have not been brave enough to put my drone up after sunset. I have a daytime fire works show this 4th to shoot. I am guessing it is mainly smoke type stuff. Maybe the drone for that and try a video

I have a strobe (Firehouse ARC V) I mount on the top that meets FAA specs for night flights so that isn't a problem but we are a bit of a free-for-all when it comes to what kinds of fireworks people can set off and some of that stuff can blow your drone out of the sky. I am going to stay low this year - last year 300' AGL seemed like dangerous air space. The mortars that fire things up into that range sometimes carry some serious explosives as they spew out the clusters of fiery displays.

Hey Tim,

Good job on your practice. I like your result!

I will capture my fireworks with 2 to 3 second shutter, to see you did 11 seconds, I am impressed.
