Fun sequence - glad this worked out well for both your daughter and the sea lion.

I'd be a little freaked about letting the sea lion's sharp teeth be as close her leg as the last shot shows. I've seen quite a few images of sea lions tearing salmon in half near the dams in the Columbia River.

that's a cool experience for your daughter! not sure about that last photo, it looks like she's about to get bitten.

looks like a great experience. I know the seals on Long Island won't let you get close and if you do it's a good chance youe getting bit. Besides the fact it's against the law there to even be within 50 yards.

Thanks all.

@AlanLichty I didnt initially freak out as I was more focused (no pun intended) on composition and didnt want my shadow in the frame :). Our naturalist guide had mentioned not to run away from a sealion, and my daughter remembered that and so just stopped. It licked her foot and went back to the water.

@Joe Colozzo In the Galapagos, it is tough to be far away from birds and sea lions.

What a great sequence Murali! It was fun to look over them.

I am with Alan that last image would scare me too! It's interesting that your naturalist said not to run away from them, and it's great your daughter remembered!
