After a full evening of shooting color, this was one of my last snaps of the day. The light was a heavenly sight streaming through the leaves of the aspen trees.

Monika, I really like your idea of cloning the log out or concealing it some how. Great alternative to the crop, thanks.Love the light/dark contrasts you have. Instead of a crop, maybe clone out the log? I think a crop would leave too little of the grass to balance your composition. Depends on your feelings of limits of manipulation in post, though. Or you could burn it a bit as in vignette, which might even emphasize the light on the leaves.
Thanks Dean, true enough!Beautiful light Amy.. I might just crop about 1/2 the grass area on the bottom.. The forest is the forest and I think sometimes we try to sanitize our pictures to much. It would be great if all that stuff was not there but it is and when you do encounter a scene with a pristine grass area , well then that elevates the image to Great from really good. Excellent capture however the final version ends up. Regards,
Dean
