Interesting that the coots around the pelican completely ignore the larger bird. The last two images are nice for the poses the pelican presents. Standing on the snag in the water exposes the pelican's leg band rather well.

Looks like he is saying ahh in the first image. The second is my favorite though with the partially open beak and the great profile.

Very cool Darcy! This is a really nice series of shots. My favorite is #2, I like that profile. But #1 does look funny with its beak like that.
