I mentioned in a post a few days ago that the Hudson Gardens south of Denver Had a large Dahlia plot (over 150 different bulbs). Here are a few more of the blossoms I captured a few years before the plot was destroyed by Japanese Beatles. They subsequently did not replant the flowers! 😢

Oh wow Larry! That's so sad to hear they were destroyed. I have been looking for a good botanical gardens in Colorado, it sounds like this might be a good one. Though they must shut down during the winter? I can't image much blooming with all that cold.

Great work on these!

Thanks Jim, I appreciate your comments. The Denver Botanical Gardens is open all year round and had a few indoor flower bed, including orchids. The Hudson Gardens are primarily outdoor beds and you are right not much shacking in the winter, although from spring through fall it is an amazing area and it has free admission! ;)
