So on this stretch of the trip, we traveled up stream all day with no stops. but the day still didn't disappoint as we past many little Bavarian villages and saw may castles, some in ruin and some still occupied. . Most of the images were taken with the kit zoom lens, not the best but they are ok and represent the adventure all the same.

1st image, my wife at the start of the day picking her seat. What made it really nice observing from the sun deck, the bartender made sure we had all the refreshments we could ever want..

I wonder if these 2 structures were owned by the same royal family?

may of the villages made use of the hillsides for vineyards and farming.

I would hate to pick these grapes

I would love to stay in this hotel a night or 2. If walls could talk!

Last picture, in total we passed around 30-40 castles within view and countless little villages. Many castles and mansions were too far away to capture or the pictures didn't come out.

But before this day was up, and the stretch of castles and villages were done, both my wife and I threw in the towel knowing we saw enough.

Beautiful way to spend the day watching the local geography and architecture go past your view. Easy to see how you could O.D. on the almost endless castles and vineyards along your path. Having an endless supply of beverages from the bar could be in direct conflict with being able to score great images over the course of the day.

What a super cool stretch of the river there. The boat traveled fairly slow then?

What a fun way to start the day by picking a seat to watch all of the castles and small villages go by. Such an interesting section of the river Ed. I really enjoy castles, so I really enjoyed this chapter in your travels.
