A Grizzly Portrait

I had an opportunity to visit the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary in British Columbia a few years back. Deep into the interior, we needed to float plane in from Prince Rupert and lived on a yacht in the upper estuary while tooling around during the day photographing from a Zodiac inflatable. Our guide knew many of the bears as individuals. We got close, as this image demonstrates. Oh, and this one was BIG!
