I was able to get 52 minutes on M101 last night before the clouds came in. I used an Optolong L-pro light pollution filter in Bortle 8 skies at f8 with my FSQ106 and the 1.6 extender. The supernova is really bright. That would be great if one happened in our galaxy.
Awesome Chuck! I am glad you got more time on it. I like the way it sticks out.
I captured M101 last night (Wed), it was looking pretty good, but today I am in Yosemite so I won't be able to process any of it until this weekend probably.
Very nice! I have a data set on this as well, after Jim convinced me to change plans and spend a little time on it. Probably will be the next data I process. I hope I can get the same kind of excellent rendition of the SN as you have here!
Thanks Mike! I just bought the Optolong lp pro and I think it's a keeper for where I live. I'm surprised on how much I got for under an hour in my conditions. My main focus on this one was jsut to get enough of the galaxy and show the SN. I've shot this many times with different scopes and cameras so I'm done with it.

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
