A New Early Bloom

The first of our Irises started to bloom yesterday so I couldn't resist grabbing a shot. This one is a Siberian Iris according to The Gardener.

Thanks Trent - I think you have nailed the why of the blooms patterns: just short of runway lights with a sign saying Land Here

Stands out against the greens in the background. We have some of these in our yard as well. Been a few days since they bloomed.

Thanks - these are in a pretty shady area of our yard. I saw lots in full bloom this morning when I was out for a run with most being in bright sunny exposures.
