It took me over two years of trying to get a pelican's headthrow. The action is so fast, the depth of field is less than an inch and so the focus has to be tack sharp.
Mid Dec to mid Jan - best time to photograph brown pelicans in San Diego. This was shot about 13 years ago behind the Cave (or Cove) store in La Jolla.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
