NGC 267 In the Small Magellanic Cloud
A section of the SMC which look like cosmic baubles.
Shot in narrowband SHO and using the SHO palette with some colour chrominance mask (CGY) manipulation in PixInsight and adding Ha as an additional luminance layer.
300s SHO @-10C

Wow Carlos! I have never seen anything like this at all. What an amazing piece of space! Love those bubbles scattered about.

Your work really makes me think I need to take the Pixinsight plunge one of these days. The horror stories of how hard it is to learn has kept me from touching it. I am not sure I have the time to dedicate to learning it. But one day…

Thanks Jim that section of the sky has so many interesting parts to it !. Yes I must admit that PI can be hard but it can also be quite easy if you find a simple workflow and stick to it. The user interface will probably hit you first as it is not quite the same as most normal Windows software are but it was designed specifically to process astro images and it has achieved that tremendously I think.

Yes, a very unique area - you have made an excellent abstract of that part of the galaxy. Love it!
