A segmented bowl.

A friend has recently taken up wood turning and worked really hard to create this piece. It is made from Cherry, Beech, Walnut and a couple of coloured veneers to separate layers. There are 306 pieces all with precision angles cut to create a circle with no gaps.
To photgraph it I used one constant source LED light and applied a graduated background in Lightroom.

Wow! I can't even imagine how difficult this would be to make. It's like a 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzle! Tell your friend, we certainly appreciate seeing his craftsmanship
