acid rain

my new fuji xf 80m macro lens came in the mail wednesday while i was at work. so i took it outside yesterday for some photos. got everything setup, made my first test shot of the figure, started to grab the spray can fog and some lights and was interrupted. i retreated back into my house and had to leave for work not long after.

the figure is from acid rain (nobody has ever heard of the series) 1:18 scale, so smaller than the 1:12 i usually shoot. i'll test the lens out with even smaller figures this weekend and see what happens.

Pardon the Interruption is what the cops should say when they drive by your place.... ;)

This looks really awesome. I think you will get lot's of use out of the macro. I tried a macro lens once as I have heard such rave reviews of them and their use, but I could never really feel comfortable with them.

Looks like a lens built for your M.O. Close in enough to make lawn look like a bamboo forest :)
thanks alan. hopefully i can test it out some more this weekend. the grass is still pretty green here, but i changed the color to match the focus better.

the cop waving at me as he dropped the stop sticks is what killed me. and the guy they were chasing crashed down the road before he even got down towards my place. i went indoors for nothing.

the focusing on the 80mm seemed to be really slow, but that's fine for what i'm doing. but i'm happy with the one photo that i managed to take.
