Acorn Woodpecker storage

While walking around my daughter’s neighborhood I noticed that the acorn woodpeckers had stored acorns in the grid of the crosswalk. Quite inventive these birds are. No pecking holes and the source of the acorns is in a live oak twenty feet from the crosswalk.
