After the Storm

When I got to GotG on Monday it was covered in storm clouds. By the time I left 2 hours later it looked like a nice crisp fall day. Weather changes fast along the mountains.

I find it fascinating with this rock structures just popping up in the middle of all the foliage. An area I have not visited.

I have never visited that place but saw it a lot when they used to hold bicycle races these. Looks nice with the dusting of snow on the slopes above.

You would not want to come here now. Even on a cold and snowy day, there were lot's of people there. I first went here almost 40 years ago, and it was a lot less traveled then.

But for the beauty it presents, especially with cool clouds and light, it's worth the mass of humanity to be there I think.

That is a beautiful capture Jim, thanks for sharing! I have been to the GOG numerous times and don't think I have seen those rock structures from this angle. The lighting is prefect! ;)

Nice light.. and a dusting of snow seemed to cool down this attractive rocky formation. I will probably never get to this place. :)

Hey Larry! I appreciate that. There are quite a few trails as you know, so it all depends where you go. I hadn't been there in a while, but as I saw the fresh snow I had to take a detour on my way up to Greeley.

Thanks Peter, the dusting of snow did help I think.

If you ever get over to the US, this would be a place to come.
