Serenity! Looks like it would be an awesome place to ski tour. Where is this Larry?
Hi Alan yes this is a great area to snowshoe or cross-country ski. The easy access is through Georgetown, Colorado from the north or from hiwy 285 at Grant, Colorado on the south side. The road is paved all the way, which is nice and a great improvement over the dirt road that was available a few years ago. ;)

Very nice view Larry, I like that pass a lot, though not as much as Boreas Pass.

FYI, it's Guanella Pass with a G.

Thanks Jim for the nice comments and spelling check (corrected). Boreas Pass is a nice one and also one of my favorites and there are so many great and photogenic passes in Colorado; my favorite is the one I am about to traverse at any time! ;) let me count the passes; Cumberland Pass, Tennessee Pass, Kebler Pass, Cottonwood Pass, Independence Pass, Engineer Pass, Scofield Pass ... just to name a few!!!!! and of course there is Trailridge Road!! ;)

Beautiful Larry! Almost a panorama. But you got ahead of winter with this beautiful shot. :)
Thanks Peter for your nice comments, appreciated! That pass is over 11,000 ft and very cold and deep snow in the winter! I have been up there in the winter and it is not a fun place to be .. and yes offers some beautiful photo ops if you can handle the weather! ;)
