While out in my garden looking for insects I was spied by a mosquito doing the opposite thing...looking for a human.
As it landed I held out my arm and with the camera in my other hand took a couple of shots as it drilled its proboscis into my arm.
My tolerance only lasted so long before the mosquito was brushed aside.

o_O Glad that was your arm and not mine. Great capture of how they what they do but I prefer not being the skin they are puncturing.

Wow, you sure gave some blood for these photos! That's dedication!

Now that’s dedication—to photography and to your blood supply! Amazing you held still long enough to get the shot. The mosquito may have found its target, but you got the better capture. I’ve been wanting to photograph biting mosquitoes too. When I come your way for a visit, we’ll use a slightly different setup—your arm, my camera!
