Almost Had It! (Solar Eclipse)

I won't bore you with the sob story, but I had planned on getting the Ring Solar Eclipse by being in Albuquerque, but ended up instead in Northern Colorado. Which I had come to embrace, that is until while the eclipse was going on, my Son who lives not far from Albuquerque sent me a photo of the Ring as it was happening there... I only cried a few tears....

So this was mine, it got to be about 75% it said, though it does look more like 80%. I have a timelapse I will be working on, but in the mean time, here is a single image of when it was near peak for me.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

What did you end up using for a filter? Looks nice.
I have had the filter for years, I just had to find it again. :)

It's just a 16.5 stop ND, made by a company called ICE, I had gotten it on Amazon. They list it as a 100000 ND.

Thanks Alan. The image came out white, maybe the Auto WB? I had to color it as I wanted it to match what I was seeing through my Solar Glasses. I had gotten a nice pair about 6 months ago, they were plastic framed like sunglasses, but they wrapped around nicely. They also include a few of the paper frame cheap solar filters people can wear, but I just used the plastic framed one.
