This lovely lady truly cooperated the other day on Suave Island. Normally, I spot them on power lines and as soon as you stop the vehicle to get a shot they bolt.

I wish I could drive directly to Sauvie Island - its around 3 miles away as a crow flies due west from my house but the nearest bridge is I-5 and the overall drive is much longer.

This is super cool! I know that feeling of how when you stop, then they fly off. This is one I have rarely seen, so great job!

St. John's Bridge???

I am up NW of Vancouver almost directly east of Scapoose. I have to drive down to the Fremont bridge and then up to US30 to get to the St. John's Bridge. I do go that way to buy hardwood from Crosscut Lumber.

Awesome shots Michael, thanks for sharing. I have seen a male lurking about at a local park, but not close enough for a decent shot. PS we also call them Sparrow Hawks!
