Stunning macro shots Bob. Am I reading your exposure info correctly that the last one is a focus stack of 160 images? Razor sharp results.

Correct... the reason I need that number of stacked images is due to extent of the flower relative to the stem and leaves, the flower itself leans forward, so we are looking at 4 or 5 inches.. any less number of stacked images and I can see bans of out of focus... believe me I checked..

many people say "why so many" but it all depends on the depth of field and the extent of subject.

I also used a significant tilt adjustment to both the front and rear standards give the appearance the flower takes on in those images.. it is disceaving

Such awesome results Bob! Amazing amount of work.

Does the GFX100s have a focus stack mode? I couldn’t image having to manually adjust the lens for each shot.

Ha ha, if you had a wife she would have kicked you into the dog house for taking over her kitchen! :)

Now it makes sense. So you don’t change the focus on the lens? It’s the whole camera that just keeps stepping forward. Ingenious.

Thanks for sharing the setup, that’s really fascinating.
