Following Larry's snow shot, here is one of mine from my local 12thC church. British weather continues to be unusual, or should I say unusual for pre 2010, since then incredibly warm spells, weeks of rain followed by weeks of drought have, unfortunately, become more usual. Here in the North of England we have had a couple of days of light rain that broke the multi-week dry spell. In the South and that is only 250 miles away they haven't had rain for 6 weeks and the temp is in the mid 90s having flirted with 100F for a while. For us it is all about the position of the jet stream. If it is North of us we get warm and dry, if to the South cool and wet with repeated Atlantic depressions whipping in. At the moment it lies right on top of us, yesterday was 65F, tomorrow forecast for 75F. My wife is hoping for a few days of heavy rain as her fruit and veg crops are crying out for water. I hope that it is not too hot and any fires are well away from you. Ken
