Another Fall Contrast

One more from the leaf pile under our Japanese Maple - this time a few leaves on top of a maiden hair fern for the contrasts.

Thanks! Our Japanese maple was never pruned to take on the look of the ones you seen in Japanese Gardens so shooting up into the canopy when full fall colors are present doesn't really work so well. Beautiful leaf colors so I just wander around looking for nice specimens on the vegetation below the tree

Beautiful. I have a young japanese maple in a pot that my dad gave me last year. The red color it turns this time of year is delightful.

Thanks Michael - for the record they can get considerably larger than something that fits in a pot. Ours is over 30' tall.
