Yes Martin the curve and overall balance works pretty good.
On this trip, we stayed in our camper at the parking lot and brought a thermos of coffee up the hill and shared with another photog couple, great morning.

Nice - although I do prefer the colors you were able to capture prior to direct sunlight on the scene. Also interesting to get a wider perspective on the scene with the canoe/kayak dock. The water seems even more unnatural in the second image with the increased light. Gotta love glacier water.
