Aspen on Grand Mesa

After a fall visit to my wife's sister in Cedaredge, Colorado a couple of years ago, we travelled back to Denver by going over Grand Mesa. It was a great drive and presented us with lots of aspen photo ops. This is one I like from the north side of the mesa heading toward Grand Junction.

Grand Mesa is an overlooked area when it comes to fall colors I think. You don't see a lot of photos from there as people are rushing to get more south. But it's got some great Aspen stands.

Ha ha.... I gave up fishing about 40 years ago. It was fun as a kid, but as an adult it was just too much time for too little reward. I will help the grandkids fish, but the only fishing I do now is with my camera.

Yep, I know the feeling about fishing and agree. You can add rifle hunting to the list of past activities; I do all my hunting with a camera these days.
