Aspen on Kenosha Pass (2012)

This shot was taken on kenosha Pass in 2012 using a Sigma SD1 Merrill camera. The raw file was processed today using the Sigma add-in to Photoshop.
There arelots of aspen aroundthe top of the pass!

Back in 2012 you could drive through a lot of that expanse and get surrounded by aspen and get immersed in the golden light!

When Kenosha Pass is at peak color it is hard to find a better area of aspen fields in Colorado. Unfortunately, a ton of people crowd the area now days a they hv\ave put in restriction on the entry and a mile or two walk from hiway parking is required to get there. People just ruin everything!
I remember when you could drive all the way up the mountains above the pass in a jeep and spend hours traversing old timber and mining roads. That was in my film days and maybe I can find some of those old negatives and scan a few.
