I'm not 'getting' these images, but its a matter of taste isn't it. Given my preference for shooting children in natural locations I'm not surprised that I'm not warming to these . I'll stop now :)

Well Jane...I'll agree from the aspect of the processing. I do believe Jim is primarily a landscape photographer and I feel he got great expressions from the baby, so for me, that's a major part of infant photography. He may need some work on people lighting and processing though.

Not every image posted here needs a *golf clap*, even when posted by the site creator, and I respect that you gave your opinion without being rude. There is no problem offering suggestions for improvement.

Hey Jane, you are not alone in that thinking. :)

This type of textured style seems to be in vogue with a lot of infant shooters, so my intent was trying to emulate those looks. But I have had more then one person not really care for the end result.

But if it helps, this is my youngest Granddaughter, so that probably helped me be more biased and see past the over processing. :)

yes I must say there's some great expressions.. lovely energy..
