The Douglas Hollow schoolhouse in Wasco County Oregon, first opened its doors in 1875 and operated thirty-five years closing in 1910. It's still standing, but definitely seen better days. It was almost lost to a wildfire in 2018, but this one room schoolhouse survived thanks to local firefighters brave work.

I don't see enough room in front for the endless line of cars dropping their kids off every day :p

That's actually in pretty good shape for a wooden structure that old.

Thanks Guys! I had known of this place for many years before finally getting out to it. Glad I got to it this year as it looks like it may not have much time left before gravity (or another fire) bring it down.
