Backpacking along the PCT near Snoqualmie

I'm just back from a 5-day backpacking trip with my son and daughter. My camera for this trip was the diminutive Leica D-Lux 8. It turned out be a great backpacking camera.

Amazing scenery up along that trail. All are nice shots but I really like #1 and #4 as standouts.

How were the mosquitos? The area along the PCT as you get close to the Columbia River Gorge are notorious for their tenacity going after hikers.

You got some great images Bob. What a fun backpacking trip. Was there much elevation gain in that section?

Thanks Jim - Elevation gain in this area was 2500-3000 ft I believe. The first 6 miles of the hike was an incline all the way.

Great set! Makes me eager to revisit next summer. #3 stands out the most to me, but the big view in #1 is very nice too
