Thank you very much Jim! Yes indeed, I love Badwater and the ever-changing, always-different landscapes it offersHi Vieri,
This is very nice! Those salt polygons are amazing. It's a crazy place to walk around in and explore, so many variations. The clouds in this are really nice, and really add a very nice touch.
Jim
Thank you very much Alan, I am glad you enjoyed the composition! Weather was good, i always go in winter - much better chancesVery nice Vieri - my previous experience at that location didn't have conditions anything like this at all. I like the focus on the foreground to get the salt crystal details with the long shutter speed effect on the clouds.
Thank you very much Ryan, glad you enjoyed it and I am also happy that my images are fuelling your desire to go to DV, one of my absolute favourite places in the world for photography!Fantastic Vieri! Your images of DV only strengthen my desire to go early next year. I'll be there in late March or early April.
On a side note...I'm about to pull the trigger on buying some GND filters. I already have the Lee system with the big stopper. Have you used any of the Lee GND filters or just the HT Firecrest?
Hi Vieri,Thank you very much Jim! Yes indeed, I love Badwater and the ever-changing, always-different landscapes it offersCan't wait to be back!

About filters, I used to use Lee but got fed up with the colour casts and started looking around for alternatives, and this is how I found the Formatt-Hitech Firecrest glass filters (not the regular FH resin ones, they are pretty bad!). Here is an article I wrote about filters, perhaps you might find it interesting (disclaimer: I am a FH Ambassador, but was not one at the time I wrote the article) https://vieribottazzini.com/2016/07/best-filters-landscape-photography-review.html
Hope this helps!
Thanks again, best regards
Vieri
Nice. I will give it a read tonight. Thank you. That Firecrest glass is expensive.Thank you very much Ryan, glad you enjoyed it and I am also happy that my images are fuelling your desire to go to DV, one of my absolute favourite places in the world for photography!

Hey Jim, thank you very much I am glad you found it interesting!Hi Vieri,
This is an excellent article you wrote up on the different kinds of ND's and ND Grad's. If you are open to it, articles like these would be an awesome asset to the forum here. I just need to figure out if we make a new category in the Article section, or perhaps just have a new Forum that is just for Reviews.

Thank you Bob, glad you enjoyed it!I like this!
Hi Tex,Hi Vieri:
The ridges coming out of the corners of the image create the perfect lines to lead my eye to the polygon. The detail is incredible! You had awesome light to work with and it puts beautiful drama in the sky. Well done!
Tex
Thank you very much! A classic indeed, but a place I can't stay away every time I go to DV. I am glad you enjoyed itClassic and Awesome!
