Bandon Blues

There are some mornings when you get out to the beach for a sunrise only to find that your primary color for the morning was the blue hour light you started out with. The best way to make lemonade on this particular morning was to stretch out the exposure times to make the wave action more interesting.

Thanks Michael - I have spent quite a few mornings and evenings out on the beaches in Bandon. Low tide is my favorite for wide and long reflections.

Bandon is my favorite Oregon beach! It's been so long since I have been there though. So I am feeling blue about that.

I like what you got here. How would this convert to B&W? Or is the blue cast just to dominate to get a nice separation between black and white?

Thanks Jim - I gave a little thought to B&W but decided I liked the early morning blue hour showing off. B&W just makes it feel like a cloudy day.

Thanks Jameel - I like shooting right near the Wizard Hat sea stack. If you do get some sunrise color this is a pretty good spot to work with it.
