I don't get on here that much as, life just gets busy... Thought I would post my best of 2024. It has its ups and downs this year, July 4th I totaled my red 4runner 10mi outside of Cody WY hitting a deer going about 70mph which is the posted speed limit. But 2024 had some great moments too. Like meeting Jim at Glendo State Park in WY to view and photograph the wonders of the Northern lights one of the powerful storms of the year and I am so glad I went even though I didn't sleep a wink. I also went to AZ spent some time around Tucson, Sedona and the Petrified Forest. Here is a clips to my year through my lens.

Looks like you got some nice travels in this last year and some great takeaways from them. I like a lot of these and in particular #1, #3, #5, #7, and #9. The light in #7 keeps me scrolling back for another look. The unnumbered snow shot at the end is a standout as well. Very nice work.

Beautiful collection of images Alisa. I don't think I can pick a favorite as many of them strike me in different ways. I love the light in #1 - especially with the reflection and the simple composition with the single tree. For #4 the mountain hiding behind the cloud creates a great atmosphere behind the fall color. I'd like to take a drive on that road. With #7 I have always enjoyed photos of corn lilies as well as of aspen trunks, but I don't think I've seen them together like this before. That double rainbow in #6 is special too.

Hey Alisa, you and I have photographed together in a lot of places, but I don't think any of them will top going to Glendo and capturing the Northern Lights! That's a beautiful take on it!

You are making it really hard to pick favorites!

They are all great, but let me pick the ones I would put in a Top 5.... :)

#1, 3, 6, 7, 8.

And congrats on getting that image published, it's a really awesome image.

great set! that makes it really hard to pick a favorite. #1 is a wonderful view of some colorful northern lights with a great foreground, too. #2 also has some really nice colors, love the cactus in front of that classic pastel pink colored sky and mountains. #3 has a great comp., and perfect timing & exposure on the water. #6 & #9 are great views. I love #7, the light, colors and tones are spot on. and i'm really jealous of the bear shot. i've only seen them from a distance.

Oh my, these are all spectacular! Leading off with a BANG! is #1, which I think has to be my favorite, a once in a lifetime capture it seems like. Numbers 2, 4, 7, and 9 also are very special indeed. Something about the simplicity and technical excellence of #7 makes me love it. And published in Photography magazine! Congrats on that! Quite an excellent body of work.

Thank you for the comment it was a good year even though I didn't feel like I got out as much. #7 is a good one and besides the Northern Lights is probably the most popular one.

Thank you for the comment. Those are some of my favorites out of the bunch as well. The experience if the Northern lights has to be hands down my all time favorite.

Thank you! They are some of my favorites too. Trust me I am not too close to this bear this was shot with a 500mm lens and cropped.
