Bodie - 1

I decided to dig up some old photos from Bodie. This was from a trip when I was able to get in before sunrise. It was very exciting to be able to get there as the sun was rising and the light was soft. Unfortunately there were no clouds, but just having the soft light was treasure enough. For anyone who has been there, you know the normal operating hours for Bodie are well after the sun rises and it closes well before the sun sets.

I will be posting these as I get a chance to process them.

This one was pre sunrise.

How did you get in there early? This is much nicer light than what I had to work with. And you got green grass?

During the summer they offer the ability to get in there early like once a month or something like that, it's been a while. I was able to get connected with it because I knew someone who was a member of the Bodie Society that works with the park service at Bodie.

Very nice - the mid day light most of us have to deal with is pretty harsh in that place.
