From my kitchen pass trip.
While the trail to the falls remains closed, the water flow can still reach you.
The thundering falls generated copious clouds of mist that were illuminated
by the sun's beacon over the ridge.
Had to coax some detail out of falls

Neat scene. Looks like a lot of lens wiping would be in order shooting with that much mist.

That's a hard image to take Dan. Good thing they closed the trail. I know with normal spring flow it is almost impossible to take photos from the trail as the mist is too strong. Add the extra flow, it would be beyond crazy.

Did you go on the Mist Trail? That would be insane now too.

My uderstanding is was closed during peak flows. I also saw a notice on multi-million dollar rework/upgrade to Mist Trail
I think several die yearly on the descent. It is encoraged to descend via John Muir trail
