California St, San Francisco during the pandemic

Let me start by saying that I am trying to be as careful and responsible as possible by not going out during these days; I actually have left my house very few times in the past two months to either go to the grocery store and a couple times to take photos where I anticipate not to be anybody close by.

Two nights ago I noticed there would be nice light at sunrise and I have been trying to re-take this angle for a while, so I got up early, drove to downtown and, guess what, there was no one to be seen anywhere. I wish I had been able to capture a cable car down the hill but, I guess they are also not working these days.
Any comments are welcome. Thx

Traffic around my house which was never on full lockdown never changed.
Ben, here in SoCal that’s been a huge plus. I have been staying home until recently as much as possible, but when I did get out it was awesome because there was no rush hour, traffic had disappeared the mountains had reappeared since the pollution levels dropped so much.

This is so awesome! If I could do a Daily Featured Post, this would be it today!

So cool, the light in this. And of course we want to be safe, we want to keep others safe too. But I think In terms of history it’s important to also document this moment. And while exercising is healthy and allowed to keep the body and mind fit during this pandemic, I think for photographers and other artists being able to practice our art is also important and healthy. :)

Thank you guys for your comments. It is indeed a historic moment being captured. I have never seen downtown so empty and I have lived in SF for 20 yrs.
Stay safe!!!
