I agree with Alan, are drones and smart phones the wave of the future for photography? This would be impossible without the possibility of an Arial vantage point. Very nice.

Very nice photo. I need to get my drone out and get some pictures. I really enjoy seeing other peoples drone shots like this.

Very cool Jim. That’s an amazing cloudscape.

How high up can the drone go?

Jim, the drone can fly up to 500 feet Above your take off altitude. Since I live on a hill about 300 feet high it adds up. Thanks for all the comments everyone.

I have a friend who get's some very impressive shots with a drone. I keep wanting to get one, but I'm terrible with the kind of hand- eye coordination it takes to be good at flying one. I've never been good at video games, or RC planes or cars. That's a really nice image Jim, but I think I'm stuck down here on the ground.

Bill, it just takes practice. I wasn't comfortable getting close to trees etc. until I had many hours of flying under my belt. Getting shots like this is dead easy though - just push forward on the left stick to go straight up a few hundred feet, then rotate, shoot, repeat getting the shots for a pano. The drone stays incredibly stable in no wind.

Yikes, you are making Santa's credit card itch every time I see one of these amazing drone captures :) Great stuff - amazing what a little altitude can do!
