I was out in California in late January for, ironically, a traumatic brain injury seminar when I got hit by a car as I was walking on the sidewalk, crossing a driveway to a shopping center. I must have been looking at the businesses in the center to see what was there, as I didn't see the car that was in the oncoming traffic left turn lane. He claimed the sun was in his eyes and, even after hitting me, that he didn't know he'd hit someone. All I knew was that there was a loud "bang!" as he hit me, I was airborne, then on my feet, watching him drive away. Fortunately, there was a driver exiting the center who not only witnessed it, but yelled at the guy, "hey, you just hit somebody!", whereupon the driver eased to a stop. Another driver was stopped at the driveway (he had been traveling in the same direction as I was) & saw the whole thing, too. I couldn't believe that my leg wasn't broken. I did, however suffer a concussion, of which I'm on the tail end of recovering from.
It snowed about 2" last week and had some low clouds/fog, so I went out with my camera to find some nice winter scenes. Of course, the first place I went, somehow had no snow, so I took another walk in 90 degrees different direction and found some fresh snow & a little fog among the aspen. The branches are probably indicative of the dendritic confusion in my head.
C&C always welcome.
