Chaos Theory

I was out in California in late January for, ironically, a traumatic brain injury seminar when I got hit by a car as I was walking on the sidewalk, crossing a driveway to a shopping center. I must have been looking at the businesses in the center to see what was there, as I didn't see the car that was in the oncoming traffic left turn lane. He claimed the sun was in his eyes and, even after hitting me, that he didn't know he'd hit someone. All I knew was that there was a loud "bang!" as he hit me, I was airborne, then on my feet, watching him drive away. Fortunately, there was a driver exiting the center who not only witnessed it, but yelled at the guy, "hey, you just hit somebody!", whereupon the driver eased to a stop. Another driver was stopped at the driveway (he had been traveling in the same direction as I was) & saw the whole thing, too. I couldn't believe that my leg wasn't broken. I did, however suffer a concussion, of which I'm on the tail end of recovering from.

It snowed about 2" last week and had some low clouds/fog, so I went out with my camera to find some nice winter scenes. Of course, the first place I went, somehow had no snow, so I took another walk in 90 degrees different direction and found some fresh snow & a little fog among the aspen. The branches are probably indicative of the dendritic confusion in my head.

C&C always welcome.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about getting clobbered and hope the after effects are diminishing. I like your comparison of the chaotic bare branches to dendritic entanglement - especially the first image with maximal confusion.

Sorry to hear about your 'adventure'. Glad you have recovered and hopefully without side effects.

I like them both with a slight nod to the second one with the way the light grades from the top to the bottom of the image.

Second, love your photos! We haven't seen many photos from you recently and we sure miss them.

But First, I am glad you are okay. A concussion certainly isn't great, but at least you didn't get any broken bones!

Thanks, Jameel. The fog/low clouds were pretty subtle. Seems like they're never as dense as when I look out my window!

Thanks, Jim. I just haven't been shooting much recently. Hoping to be able to get out starting this Spring.

So sorry for what occurred—so glad you’re recovering. Beautiful images you’ve shared—the second my favorite. Again, glad you’re better.
