Cholla Cactus Garden - Joshua Tree

First time in Joshua Tree. First time shooting the stars with my Leica gear. Made a tone of mistakes even in this image but had a ton of fun. I had this area all to myself for several hours in total darkness.

A cholla garden can be a hazardous place to be in the dark if you aren't careful but it does look nice in this scene. Good view of the MW.

I had scouted the location the day before and learned of the hazards. So I was extra careful!

A very serene and quiet scene. I like how the core is positioned horizontally above the chollas, makes for a complementary composition!

The night sky in Joshua Tree is great. And you sure got some great detail. That looks like your setup is looking great.
