Color at Bridleveil Creek

Most visits here are about the falls, which were just a wisp now.
With low flows, you can get down on the rocks along the creek.
This was shot with the Mamiya 7 on Ektar.
This was a bit of a compromise as at 100 ISO, as the shutter speed was a bit too slow.
The water is a too smooth for my tastes & the Big Leaf Maples weren't still enough
Perhaps I should have pushed the roll 2 stops????

You mean you can't just crank the ISO up a couple stops? Didn't' they used to call is ASA? Still a nice shot here especially considering the situation.

Hey Dan,

This is not too bad for shooting ISO 100. There isn't any decent ISO 400 film out you could use in these conditions?

But still, I like the look of this. The water is fine, the bit of leaf movement isn't bad. I would say it worked!

So was this recent?

Jim,
There are a few, like Portra 400 or 800. The colors aren't as rich as Ektar though.
I should try them & this is a scene I can get every Fall there.
The trouble with the Mamiya 7 is you shoot what's loaded. No separate backs.
That's why I liked the RZ67 for switching film.
This was on the same trip last week.
I think the colors will be a bit better over the next two weeks, especially the cottonwoods
Thanks
Dan
