Things are really accelerating as far as wildflowers in Colorado at mid-altitude are concerned.

I like this bloom with the limited DoF for subject isolation. Interesting to see the native variants after living with the hybrids we have in our garden. How long will these continue to put out blooms? Our hybrids are still putting out new ones.

I'm guessing a couple of weeks, but that's a totally uneducated guess. I'll just be following them up in altitude as they start to fade lower down. They're just starting now at 8600'. I'll be on the lookout for albas. The only scarlets I've seen are around Crested Butte in mid-July.
