Cotoneaster Frost

Beautiful contrasts between the frost and the red berries.

Interesting plant - when I first saw your image I thought it was pyracantha and as it turns out they are close relatives. Does cotoneaster have thorns like its relatives? I had a 70' long hedgerow of pyracantha when I lived in Salt Lake City and learned to hate trying to keep it trimmed back due to endlessly getting impaled on the thorns. This doesn't look it has quite as many thorns based on your image.

Thanks. No thorns, but they are not easy to keep trimmed and looking good. It's going to be time to replace them this spring.
