A picture of the famous 'de aanbidding van het Lam Gods' by the Van Eyck brothers inside the St. Baafs Cathedral in Ghent, Belgium.

I didn't do much in post, having been and close up with it the picture quite accurately shows what your Mk1 eyeball reports back to your art-loving brain.

It has many details, some of which I captured and can post as well.

Note the reflections... the whole display is encased in a glass-walled frame. The inner vertical thick lines are in fact columns of said frame.

Ha ha.... I love you relating how our Mk1 eyeballs would percieve this.

This is such a cool capture. I haven't heard of this before. Is it bunch of paintings in frames positioned together? Or is this one painting? It's hard to tell for sure.

Anymore detail you have would be appreciated. This old world art is very captivating I think.

Ghent Altarpiece - Wikipedia

That's way more than I could write down here. Let's suffice to say that in the world of medieval European art, it is about as important as the original written constitution to the Americans. Or something like that.
