I loved this bench. Dead weathered latticed wood, and the moss growing new life. On the grounds of Bloedel Reserve in Bainbridge Island Wa. Overlooking a small pond.

I think I should have put the space to the right of the bench for better balance 
Nice one, maybe not cut off the leg next time.
Darcy, I have found benches to be notoriously difficult to balance when taken from an angle of its an consolation.
But with that said, I actually like how this is balanced visually. You have some branches coming in the left to help fill that space, plus from the angle the left side of the bench appears bigger and thus helps to balance the view.

That's sort of the natural state of anything that doesn't get pressure washed in the NW. As you can see the moss does dry up this time of year but even crunchy yellowed moss will green up come the fall rains. You roof will look like this is you don't do something to kill off the moss or have roof contractors clean it off.
