This was just another learning experiment using a new black acrylic V-flat for the reflecting surface with LED lighting.

The acrylic surface blends in with the black backdrop perfectly and has some nice reflections. This makes the gold balls stand out nicely. Nice experiment.

Thanks for the comments. About lighting.....mine is DIY to a great degree. I use photo quality (high CRI) LED lamps (from Westcott and Smith-Victor) which fit standard light sockets. They're about $40 each. I modified a collapsible diffuser to fit on a light stand for a modifier for one light and sometimes add a reflector, or umbrella with an additional light on a second light stand.

For me the "learning" has been to find out how much I can do with a very small investment, but it's basically for table-top/product type projects.
