Dialing in the analog feel for spontaneous people shots

I've been trying to combat the digital look forever, What I mean by that is the overly-contrasted and destroyed blacks with no grainy texture, that our digital cameras do...
finally dialed it in, higher iso, and a pearescent filter - lowered contrast and slightly boosted blacks.. boom.. you have the analog feel of film but on a Fuji X-t2

These are my girlfriend/fiancés kids and mine too all mixed together, yeah its a brady bunch thing lol... but I really like the look, the pearlescent filter is Tiffen and its amazing
It basically blooms the mid/highlights a bit , but lowers the contrast to analog levels

That first one is really nice, I also like the second one. I have never noticed this analog versus digital effect, so maybe I am just not sensitive enough. I also have this problem with digital versus vinyl music. all I notice with records is scratches, pops and distortion.

Like Ben, I never noticed a film vs digital look difference. But if you did, and now you have solved it to give you the look you want? That’s great!!!

My favorite is the last one, though all look like fun!
