While out capturing Green images on St Patrick's day not far from the Racquetball courts were some tennis courts and as I was running by them I saw this ball laying there. I stopped, opened up the gate slightly so as to not get hit by a stray tennis ball and shot this as you see it.

To me, this is one of those types of images I have seen in Fine Art displays. I don't normally shoot anything like this since most of my photography is out in the wild shooting landscapes. So I thought it was kind of cool to see it and capture it.

And the line umpire called a fault. :)

Nice contrasts - your framing is unique but it seems to work for this scene.

I really like the composition with the court lines and colors and the position of the ball's shadow. Too bad the court wasn't cleaner! It looks like a minimalist painting.

Thanks Alan. Who knows where I would have placed the ball had I decided to set this up, I thought it worked cool and the ball and the lines played off each other well.

Thank you Amy! I actually cleaned up a few footprints in the shot too, or it would have been dirtier.

This is cool. So perfectly simple/common that it took an artistic eye to see this as you've captured it. Good one.
