Dogwoods 2nd Bloom

I always make an effort to get to Yosemite and shoot the Dogwoods in bloom in early May, it has dawned on me that Dogwoods bloom twice, or at least feel like they bloom twice since in the fall while there are now flowers blooming, their leaves sure seem to bloom with cool orange and red colors.

This was from a few weeks ago in Yosemite.

Dogwoods definitely shine twice a year. In a lot of ways I like the Fall version better. The range of reds is striking!
Nicely done, Jim!

Definitely some nice colors there - one of those color shows that happens under the forest canopy with the lower tier of vegetation. I like how the color show contrasts with the trunks of the tall trees.

Great color palette and I like the neighborhood the color is in.
