Downtown Seattle (+edit)

Been meaning to try a cityscape in IR for a while. Was in downtown yesterday and had my IR camera in the car. Was also hoping to catch a decent sunset as the day started off cloudy and started clearing around noon. However by about 7pm the sky was almost clear of any clouds.

I never get tired of this view of the Seattle skyline and especially when the skies allow a view of Rainier.

I have thought about wanting to do IR in the city, but I think basically unless there is vegetation (like you got in this one) to just shoot city buildings there won't be any IR light absorbed or reflected?

I like this a lot Jameel, though for my taste at least I would like to see the leaves pop a bit more as they feel washed out.

Thanks Alan. I like this view esp. with some nice light. This time the light was more suited to IR than normal.

Thanks Jim. The sun was fairly harsh on the foliage and hence the washed out look. I have done some additional work to tame that a bit. Edited version added.

I like the edit Jameel. One thing for sure with IR, as the profile gets switched things get blown out that weren’t before. I have to almost always adjust the highlight and White slider down in ACR to recover the highlights. They aren’t blown when I photograph, only after the Color Profile switch.
