Came up with the idea of a fire breathing Dragon with few of my friends. We came to capture Milky Way but due road closure from our original place to shoot the stars... we ended up here. Unfortunately the Milky Way was already faints we thought we have a little fun and get creative.

Hey Lenny,

This is so awesome! I have never been a huge fan of those dragons out in Anza Borrego. For some reason they always felt out of place to me. But wow, this makes it seem all worth while! Just fantastic creativity. I am also not a huge fan of the person with a flashlight pointing up at the Milky Way as that is so over done. But in this, the whimsy of the guy with the flashlight like it's a sword is just so awesome! It all totally works.

This is definitely one of the more entertaining star shots I have seen in a very long time!

Did you use the flashlight to paint the fire in the scene or was this done in post processing? If this done with an open shutter what did you use for the light source(s)? Certainly a creative result.

Love your comments Jim... I couldn't think of anything else to do. Fire breathing Dragon would have been ok but I wanted more like perhaps a shield to block the fire but it wasn't available and I agree too many people have done the flashlight thingy and I for one have done it numerous times but this serve the purpose. Thank you Jim!
