I have not been posting much recently, life getting in the way of photography but we have been getting out and about. This was a short trip at the end of June
Dunskey Castle is on the coast of South West Scotland about 100 miles away from where we live. We have visited before but I wanted to return to photograph Dunskey Castle and Angela wanted to visit a nearby botanical garden specialising in plants from Southern Africa.
A short walk out along the cliffs from Portpatrick where we were staying it is just possible to see Ireland 20 miles away
I wanted to photograph the castle looming up above me and it was possible to scramble down the cliffs to the waters edge. Unfortunately the tide was still rising but I managed to capture 1 decent image.
I was annoyed with myself as I had photographed here before and should have brought my 12-24 lens as the only way to get an image with the 16-35 was at 16mm and pointing the camera upwards causing the usual leaning effect. I was standing in the sea in wellies with the waves breaking ever higher. I managed to remain dry but only just.
